Handwriting

Handwriting is one of the more complicated hand function we can develop, as it also requires cognitive connections with other parts of our brain so we can produce a written text.

These resources focus on the physical act of handwriting to help children develop motor automaticity in their handwriting, starting with the key concepts of mastering correct pencil grip, learning pre writing patterns, learning correct letter formations and then mastering neatness.

Learning how to form letters correctly is essential for writing success as it will lead to this automaticity and teaching children incorrect patterns can be very detrimental.  The Peggy Lego program is a great place to start for this
